Pitcairn PCA-2 Lands in San Francisco

In the US, Harold Pitcairn obtained the rights to manufacture aircraft incorporating Juan de la Cierva's technology and the two companies -- Pitcairn's in the US and Cierva's in England -- agreed to a reciprocal licensing agreement of patents.

The US company's most commercially successful aircraft was the PCA-2. In this video, a PCA-2 lands on a street in San Franciso.

A short biography of Harold Pitcairn and a brief history of the PCA-2 and other Pitcairn augtogryos are included in the book
